Hausegger combines a world of diversity in his paintings and sculptural work. Their origins are often involuntary encounters, poetic moments. Hausegger has woven and condensed associations from the art-historical, literary, cinematic, and self- experienced into a complex structure whose goal is not perfection, but rather the invitation to a multitude of thought sequences, undisturbed or rather freed from the perceptual habits of everyday life - just as it reflects the pictorial inventions and sculptures in their precariously shimmering variety.
